With over 25 years of experience developing and training elite soccer players, Gustavo has played a key role in shaping some of the biggest talents in world football. As a former Head of Physical Training for River Plate’s Youth and Reserve Teams, he has worked with players who went on to play in Europe’s top leagues and for the Argentina national team. His expertise in player development, physical training, and elite performance coaching ensures that everyone at our camp gets professional-level training.
Lucas Daniel Maggiolo – Methodologist & Tactical Specialist
Lucas brings an exceptional background in player development and training methodology. Having served as the Director of Methodology at Club Atlético Rosario Central and River Plate, he has designed training programs for youth players that have fueled their journey to professional leagues. His deep understanding of soccer strategy and player growth will provide players with an unparalleled learning experience.
A:The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Each day includes warm-ups, technical training, tactical drills, small-sided games, and full scrimmages, all led by experienced coaches using the AFA methodology.
A: Participants should bring:
● Their official AFA Soccer Camp uniform (required for participation)
● Soccer cleats and shin guards
● Plenty of water and a refillable water bottle
● Sunscreen
● A healthy lunch and snacks (nut-free)
A: The camp takes place at Lenape High School in Medford, NJ utilizing natural grass turf fields in a beautiful suburban sports complex.
A: No, the official AFA Soccer Camp uniform is required and must be purchased separately for $90. Each kit includes two sets of shirts, shorts, and socks
and is available in youth and adult sizes.
A: Camp will continue in light rain, but in the case of extreme weather conditions, parents will be notified of schedule adjustments via email or text. Safety is our top priority.
A: Yes! Parents are welcome to observe from designated areas, but we ask that they do not interfere with training to maintain a focused learning environment.
